Yoga & Mindfulness for Birth & Labor Prep
This will be a partner workshop with Taylor Jaderquist (500 hour E-RYT, perinatal yoga Instructor)
Intention: To assist birthing persons & support partners in finding trust in themselves, each other and the powerful unfolding of birth. We will practice different yoga poses, breathing techniques, mindfulness exercises and partner massage methods for late pregnancy and the different stages of labor. From our time together, partners will hopefully find confidence, explore their fears & desires, and learn techniques for coping with pain & embracing the beautiful mystery of labor and birth.
Details:
• Suggested during late second/early third trimester
• Support for any birth plan/preferences (may be helpful to have some ideas and discussion with support person and provider prior to this class)
• No yoga or meditation experience necessary
• Small group for more attention & intimacy (limited to 5 “couples”)
• Please bring a water bottle and yoga mat (we have only a few at the studio available)
• Wear comfortable clothes for movement
