Traditional Wat Po Thai Massage for Couples

  • Shala Living Yoga 412 W. Boone Ave Spokane, WA (map)

The Wat Po massage tradition, developed over two thousand years ago in Bangkok’s largest Buddhist monastery, is a healing practice that works along sen lines—energy pathways in the body. These lines can become blocked by stress and tension, and Thai massage helps release these blockages, improves circulation, and promotes deep relaxation.

This couples’ massage workshop offers a simple, accessible introduction to Wat Po Thai massage. You’ll learn basic techniques for massaging the feet, hands, and face—no oils required. The massage is performed fully clothed on the floor in seated and lying positions. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended.

The workshop is led by Zac Pelleriti, who has over 25 years of experience in massage, yoga, and meditation. He trained in traditional Thai massage at Wat Po and Chetawan in Thailand and has practiced in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. Zac also holds a Master’s degree from Harvard and has studied yoga, meditation, and Indian philosophy extensively in India. His teaching blends ancient wisdom with practical, hands-on experience to help others find healing and connection through touch.

This workshop is ideal for couples looking to build deeper connection and share in a calming, nurturing experience rooted in ancient healing traditions.
