Real time Engagement & Mentorship

Yes we will meet frequently. This is because consistency equals success. However, we understand that you may not always be able to show up in person. This course is fully interactive and in-person with the option to livestream or watch a recording if you can’t make a meeting. Learn from watching other students in their practice while providing & receiving support from us and fellow classmates. Ask any question and get all your answers in real time. Ara & Jon are here for you 100%.

Personal Progress is Key

You will be expected to learn the precise command language cueing of this class. Speaking in this way breaks old habits, builds confidence and empowers not just your voice but your whole being. Memorization is an essential element of learning the cues. This is like learning a new language and you will create new neural connections for a powerful shift. Expect to be challenged! You will need your enthusiasm and self discipline to aid you in this part of the course. You will learn through the power of your commitments what you can achieve. By engaging with yourself in this way, you will experience an incredible transformation of your mind, body and spirit. You are the one you must count on for success, BUT you are not alone! You will receive our guidance throughout the course. You will engage in teaching individual postures as well as posture groups in both the standing & floor sequence as we offer feedback and support. In this way, you are held accountable for every element of your learning, and you are never left behind. We ensure the optimization of your growth and development as a teacher as we watch you progress.

Certification

Upon meeting & completing the 320 plus hours of the rigorous standards of this teacher training program, you will become a Certified Shala Living Yoga 26×2 Hot Yoga Teacher under 200hr YA (Yoga Alliance) standards. Why do we have more than 200 hours in this certification? Because most 200 hour courses do not provide enough actual yoga practice and teaching time to master the level of expertise we want our teachers to embody. The best way to learn the series is to practice it and teach it. We have added this additional time along with the yoga alliance requirements for a 200 hour training.
